After the Supreme Court’s January 23, 2026 direction to the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Enforcement Directorate on the status report of their probe into alleged bank frauds involving the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) and promoter Anil Ambani, the ED has formed an SIT to expedite its probe. The hearing before a bench headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant was based on a petition filed by a former IAS officer EAS Sarma, represented by advocate Prashant Bhushan.
