Mumbai: The department of telecommunications (DoT) collected ₹79,121 crore from telecom operators between April and November, up 47% from the year-ago period, as per data on its website.
Analysts said the jump in collection was driven by steady payments from telecom operators for licence fees and headline tariff increase, which increased the amount these companies pay to the government as revenue share.
