Angry White House accuses Alibaba of helping Chinese army to target US

The White House has accused Chinese tech giant Alibaba of providing technical support for the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in its “operations” against targets within the US. In a national security memo shared with the Financial Times, White House made these claims, citing declassified “top secret” intelligence regarding the company’s capabilities. The official memo raises concerns that Alibaba is supplying the PLA with capabilities that pose a threat to US national security. According to the intelligence cited in the memo, Alibaba is alleged to provide the Chinese government and the PLA with access to extensive customer data, including IP addresses, WiFi information, and payment records.
