Bharti Airtel’s 5G network slicing service to boost postpaid revenue, support sectoral tariff hike: Analysts

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel’s roll-out of the fifth-generation (5G) network slicing will enhance its postpaid packs and boost its blended average revenue per user (ARPU) over the coming quarters, according to analysts.

India’s second-largest telco added sector-leading 3 million postpaid mobile subscribers in the fiscal year that ended March 31, 2026, taking this tally to 29 million. Airtel has 188 million 5G subscribers.

Airtel added 45 million postpaid subscribers in FY26, bringing its total postpaid user base, including Internet of Things (IoT)/Machine-to-Machine (M2M), to 106 million.
