Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani, Bharti Enterprises’ Sunil Mittal & others join ITU commission on AI

NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Bharti Enterprises Founder and Chairman Sunil Mittal, along with 38 other heads of state, technology chief executives, and policymakers, have joined the International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) “AI for Good Global Commission”.

ITU Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin, Salesforce Chair & CEO Mark Benioff, and Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame on Thursday launched the commission to “help define practical pathways to strengthen trust, expand access and unlock AI’s potential to solve real-world challenges at the speed the technology demands”, the United Nations’ (UN) specialised telecom agency said in a statement.
