AI-based monitoring to boost Karnataka govt’s dialysis services
BENGALURU: The Karnataka government’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) dialysis programme received a boost with the introduction of an AI-enabled monitoring system aimed at improving patient safety and treatment quality. Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao said the initiative would enhance clinical oversight and bring public dialysis services on par with private healthcare standards.
The system, introduced by NephroPlus at KC General Hospital in Bengaluru, enables real-time tracking of critical dialysis parameters such as blood pressure, fluid removal and electrolyte balance. Continuous monitoring is expected to improve treatment outcomes and reduce risks during dialysis sessions.
