YouTube CEO Neal Mohan recently announced a new update to YouTube TV. The latest update offers users more flexibility in how they watch live content, introducing a “fully customisable” multiview feature. Mohan said users will have “full control to mix and match live streams” and can “build the personalised viewing experience you’ve been asking for.” With this update, viewers can pin up to 4 live streams on a single screen, allowing them to watch multiple channels simultaneously without switching between them.

YouTube launched the multiview feature in 2023, initially for curated sports feeds like March Madness. At that point, users could only mix live games in preordained combinations.
