OpenAI launches ChatGPT Translate with this one feature that Google Translate doesn’t have

OpenAI has released ChatGPT Translate, a standalone web tool that brings AI-powered style customization to language translation across 50-plus languages. While the interface resembles Google Translate’s familiar dual-box design, the new service distinguishes itself by letting users reshape translations for specific contexts—whether that’s business-formal tone, child-friendly language, or academic writing.

The tool marks OpenAI’s first dedicated translation product, though ChatGPT has offered translation capabilities for years.
