Vodafone Idea subsidiary raises ₹3,300 cr via NCDs, says to boost capex

NEW DELHI: India’s third-largest telecom carrier Vodafone Idea (Vi) on Thursday said its subsidiary, Vodafone Idea Telecom Infrastructure Limited (VITIL), has raised ₹3,300 crore through the issuance of secured non-convertible debentures (NCDs).

The proceeds will be used by VITIL to repay its payment obligation to Vi, the telco said in a regulatory filing, adding that this will enable the company to bolster its capital expenditure (capex) and support business growth.
