NEW DELHI: Union Telecom Minister said on Wednesday that India’s telecom exports have surged sharply by 72% in the last five years, increasing from ₹10,000 crore in FY21 to ₹18,406 crore in FY25.
Scindia, in response to a question in Lok Sabha, said that imports in the telecom sector have remained capped at around ₹51,000 crore. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is not only moving rapidly towards self-reliance in the telecom sector but is also preparing itself for global leadership,” the union minister added.
