Vodafone Idea shares jump 4% on anticipation of AGR relief by year-end

Shares of Vodafone Idea surged 3.8% to an intraday high of ₹10.32 on the BSE on Tuesday, December 2, as the Centre moves closer to finalising its stance on the company’s relief proposal related to adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues.

The development comes amid indications that recommendations could be announced in the coming weeks.

According to a media report, Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said the government is awaiting a formal request from Vodafone Idea before proceeding with any relief measures.
