New Delhi: iPhones are eating into the share of Android handsets in the Indian market, as sales continue to surge for Cupertino, US-based Apple but the overall market for smartphones remains stagnant.
The market share of Android smartphones declined to 89.6% in the third quarter of 2025, dipping under 90% for the first time in a festive quarter since the operating system gained popularity, as users continued to upgrade to iPhones, research firm IDC said.
