India is long term a good place for us to invest: Jacobs’ Vadlamudi

American engineering services company Jacobs Solutions sees substantial growth in its semiconductor and electronics business verticals here with more Indian and global players looking to set up shop in the country, a senior executive said. The company is handling some of the largest semiconductor projects in India, including the Tata Electronics fab at Dholera in Gujarat.

“We see a healthy pipeline (of projects) in general and specific to India, a number of opportunities that we think are of interest for Jacobs,” executive vice-president Koti Vadlamudi told ET in an interview. “Of course, it’s all about people, deployment and timing but we are very optimistic in this space, and the pipeline will expand as India receives more investment.”
