Migration of users to 4G, data-heavy packs, AI chatbots priorities for BSNL in FY26, says Pemmasani

NEW DELHI: The Central government has set priorities for state-controlled Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the new entrant to the commercial fourth-generation (4G) market, to prevent its subscriber churn to private sector telecom carriers Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea (Vi), which provide 5G services.

BSNL has been tasked with extensively improving customer experience, and to back it up with marketing efforts to drive awareness and retention in the intensely competitive telecom market.
