CCPA Notifies Guidelines

On May 27, 2025, the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA), under the ministry of consumer affairs, food & public distribution, notified the “Guidelines for the Prevention and Regulation of Illegal Listing and Sale of Radio Equipment Including Walkie Talkies on E-Commerce Platforms, 2025”. These guidelines were formulated after extensive inter-ministerial consultations involving the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the ministry of home affairs (MHA) to address the increasing instances of unauthorized sale of wireless communication devices on digital marketplaces.
