Karnataka hopeful of attracting semicon, components companies, says KDEM chief Sanjeev Gupta
NEW DELHI: Karnataka is hopeful of securing investments from semiconductor and electronic components manufacturing companies, even as certain companies have decided to set up facilities in other states despite initially expressing interest in the southwestern state, said a top executive.
“We have been in touch with many international companies that are looking at India, both from the fabrication side as well as the OSAT (outsourced semiconductor assembly and test) and ATMP (assembly, test, marking and packaging) side,” Sanjeev Gupta, CEO of the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), told ETTelecom in an interview.
