Ericsson, Intel partner to develop AI-native RAN, packet core for 6G

NEW DELHI: Swedish telecom kit maker Ericsson and American chipmaker Intel have partnered to develop artificial intelligence (AI)-native radio access network (RAN) equipment for 6G networks and packet core, along with platform-level security and network capabilities.

“The collaboration will advance future high-performance and energy-efficient compute architectures designed for both AI for networks and Networks for AI,” the companies said in a joint statement on Monday.
