TEXMiN, BSNL ink pact to deploy pilot private 5G, IoT, AI projects in mining sector

NEW DELHI: The TEXMiN Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with state-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to jointly design, test, and deploy pilot projects, including private 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), drones, and digital twins in the mining sector.

“These pilots will enable validation of next-generation communication systems tailored for safe, smart, and sustainable mining operations,” TEXMiN and BSNL said in a joint statement on Friday.
