AI-driven traffic to reshape networks, India leads 5G adoption: Ericsson’s Erik Ekudden

Telecoms gear maker Ericsson is deepening its component manufacturing ecosystem and building resilient supply chains across Asia, Europe and US in response to ongoing geopolitical uncertainties, a top executive said.

“We are in an industry which has been affected by geopolitics and I would say all the supply chain changes during COVID for many years. So we built up supply capability in all important regions,” said Erik Ekudden, CTO, Ericsson, adding that memory and other components of telecom equipment are witnessing shortages in the current environment.
