India willing to collaborate on AI capacity, standards development with ASEAN: DoT’s Amit Agrawal

NEW DELHI: India is willing to collaborate with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on artificial intelligence (AI) capacity building, standards development, and practical use cases, said a senior official of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).

“As we move from connectivity to intelligence, artificial intelligence will be a defining force. India approaches AI with a clear conviction: innovation must be aligned with responsibility, transparency, and public trust,” said Amit Agrawal, secretary, DoT.
