NFAP-2025: Telcos reiterate demand for lower 6GHz band to drive 5G, 6G services
NEW DELHI: India’s leading telecom operators on Wednesday said that the identification of the 6425-7125MHz band for mobile services, under the National Frequency Allocation Plan-2025 (NFAP-2025), will significantly enhance the availability of mid-band spectrum for 5G, 5G Advanced, and the future sixth-generation (6G) networks.
The industry also reiterated its demand for the lower 6GHz band – or 500MHz of airwaves – in the range 5925–6425MHz.
