Centre freezes ₹87,695-crore as Vodafone Idea AGR dues
NEW DELHI: The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a long-pending relief package for Vodafone Idea (Vi), freezing its adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues at ₹87,695 crore, and allowing the debt-laden telco to repay from FY32 to FY41, according to sources familiar with the development.
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) will now also reassess the frozen AGR dues based on the relevant guidelines and audit reports.
The sources said an outcome will be decided by a government-appointed committee.
