Jio Platforms zooms past TVS, IIT Madras to emerge as India’s largest global IP creator in FY25
NEW DELHI: Jio Platforms (JPL) has emerged as India’s largest global intellectual property (IP) creator, surpassing homegrown automobile maker TVS Motor, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), and Ola Electric Mobility, in the fiscal year 2025 (FY25), as per the latest data released by the Indian Patent Office.
JPL filed 1,037 international patents in FY25, ahead of TVS Motor (238), CSIR (70), IIT Madras (44), Ola Electric Mobility (31), Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions (27), Hero Motocorp (20), and others, according to the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks.
