Vodafone Idea expands 5G, bolsters enterprise & AI play in 2025
NEW DELHI: 2025 has been a particularly bright year for India’s third-largest telecom carrier, Vodafone Idea (Vi), which saw it join its rivals Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel in providing fifth-generation (5G) broadband services in key markets.
Vi’s 5G launch, commencing in circles including Mumbai and Delhi, came after it had placed multi-year 4G modernisation and 5G equipment deals with multinational vendors – Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, and Cisco – in late 2024.
