India’s electronics manufacturing grows six-fold in 11 years to ₹11.32 lakh crore in FY25: Jitin Prasada
NEW DELHI: Central government-led schemes, including PLI for large-scale electronics manufacturing (LSEM) and PLI for IT hardware, have fueled both manufacturing and exports in the broader electronics category and the mobile phone segment. These programmes have also given an impetus to employment in India.
Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada, in a written reply to a question, informed Rajya Sabha on Friday that as a result of policy efforts, electronics manufacturing has grown almost six times in the last 11 years – from ₹1.9 lakh crore in 2014-15 to ₹11.32 lakh crore in 2024-25.
