Bharti Airtel shares tumble 4% after 5.1 crore shares change hands in block deal

Bharti Airtel shares fell 3.7% in early trade to a day’s low of ₹2,017.55 on the BSE after 5.1 crore shares were traded in the block deal window on Friday, November 7. Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) is the likely seller.

Earlier reports indicated that Singtel was set to offload about 0.8% of its stake in the Indian telecom operator.

The deal, estimated at around ₹10,300 crore, was reportedly executed at a floor price of ₹2,030 per share — a 3.1% discount to Airtel’s previous close.
