MeitY in final talks to list products for DLI 2.0 launch by year-end

The Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) is in talks with other ministries to finalize the list of consumer electronic products, chipsets for which will be prioritized for incentives under the Design Led incentive (DLI) 2.0 scheme, officials said. The latest inter-ministerial push comes amid the Centre planning to launch the key scheme by year-end, they added.

MeitY is mapping domestic demand for 30 devices, and appliances, with inputs from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), and their trade value chain based on Commerce Department insights, an official said.
