India Mobile Congress 2025: Telecom sector may contribute 20% to India’s GDP in next 10 years, says Scindia
NEW DELHI: India’s fledgling telecom sector is expected to contribute 20% to the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) in the next 10 years, said Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday.
Scindia, on the second day of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the telecom sector, including digital inclusion, will form the bedrock of the economy’s growth going forward.
