e-Daakhil consumer grievance platform

A parliamentary panel has raised alarm over the dismal performance of the government’s flagship online consumer grievance redressal platform, e-daakhil, which has managed to resolve only 23 pc of the complaints filed since its launch. Despite being designed to simplify access to justice for consumers by enabling digital filing of complaints, the system has struggled to deliver timely resolutions, leaving a vast majority of grievances pending.
The findings were published in the 9th report of the Standing Committee on Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (2024–25), tabled in the Lok Sabha and laid in the Rajya Sabha on July 29, 2025.
