Department of Posts inks pact with BSNL to sell SIM cards, provide recharge services

NEW DELHI: The Department of Posts (DoP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Wednesday to sell the latter’s SIM cards and provide mobile recharge services, aiming to expand the state-run telecom carrier’s nationwide network.
Under the agreement, BSNL will supply SIM stock and provide training, while the DoP will facilitate new customer onboarding and transactions securely. The partnership combines the trusted reach of India Post with BSNL’s telecom expertise.
