MediaTek tapes out first chip using TSMC 2nm process; volume production expected in 2026
NEW DELHI: Taiwanese fabless company MediaTek said on Tuesday it has taped out its first chip based on the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSMC) “N2P” process based on the 2nm node.
MediaTek, in a joint statement, said that it expects volume production from late 2026, adding that its partnership TSMC continues to yield high-performance, power-efficient chipsets for customers in flagship mobile, compute, automotive, and data center applications.
