Nokia wins IP edge, transport network modernisation deal from India’s Vortex Group

NEW DELHI: Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia has won an IP edge and transport network modernisation deal from Vortex Group for three states: Maharashtra, Goa, and Gujarat.

“The refreshed IP aggregation and edge networks will support increased broadband speeds and enable Vortex to expand services to underserved areas,” the companies said in a joint statement on Monday.

The deployment of Nokia solutions will enable more than 150 smaller internet service providers (ISPs) connected to Vortex’s network to access high-speed, scalable infrastructure and deliver enhanced internet services to their local customers.
