Draft National Telecom Policy 2025

The government has come out with a draft “National Telecom Policy 2025 (NTP-25)” as a strategic response to the rapidly evolving digital landscape and emerging technological advancements. Introduced to chart the next phase of India’s telecom growth, the policy seeks to address the pressing need for inclusive, secure and future-ready telecommunications infrastructure. Following the success of the “National Digital Communications Policy 2018”, the new policy reflects the government’s intent to align India’s telecom sector with the nation’s broader development priorities – economic expansion, technological leadership and social empowerment.
