Kyivstar owner VEON raises annual outlook

VEON, the telecoms group that owns Ukraine’s biggest mobile operator, on Thursday reported strong quarterly earnings and raised its annual revenue and core profit guidance as growth in digital services offset a drop in mobile users.

The company now expects total revenue to grow between 13% and 15% and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) to rise in a range of 14% to 16% this year.

It had estimated a range of 12% to 14% for revenue and 13% to 15% for core earnings in March.
