Google offers up to $340,000 as AI talent wars escalate in the US

Google has recently overhauled its compensation structure to emphasise high performance and attract top-tier talent, especially as competition in artificial intelligence heats up globally.

According to the US Department of Labour filings analysed by news website Business Insider, software engineers at Google can now earn base salaries as high as $340,000, excluding lucrative stock grants and bonuses that can push total compensation even higher. Product managers, AI researchers, and other key technical roles are also seeing record pay packages as the company intensifies efforts to stay ahead in the AI race.
