TCS to build massive campus in Bengal Silicon Valley, CM Mamata Banerjee says it will create 25,000 jobs

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday announced a major development for the state’s IT sector, confirming that the New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) has approved the Phase-I building plan for Tata Consultancy Services’ (TCS) upcoming office campus at Bengal Silicon Valley.

According to the Chief Minister, the campus will span 20 acres, with Phase I set to deliver 9 lakh square feet of world-class office infrastructure, including an 11-storey tower, aimed at creating 5,000 new jobs. The subsequent phase will add another 15 lakh square feet, increasing the total direct employment potential to 25,000.
