Samsung seeks one more year of PLI sops in lieu of FY22

New Delhi: Samsung has enquired if the firm can get an additional year for getting incentives under the production linked incentive (PLI) scheme for smartphones, officials aware of the matter told ET. The South Korean electronics major had lost out on incentives for one year of its five-year tenure, which ended in March. “They (Samsung) want to get incentives for five years…we are examining the issue and will decide accordingly,” said one of the officials.
