Amazon is shutting down its Zoom and Google Meet rival: Here’s what the company said

Amazon has announced the shutdown of Chime, its video conferencing service that was positioned as an alternative to Zoom and Google Meet. The decision to discontinue Chime comes after the service saw limited adoption outside of Amazon itself.

In a blog post, Amazon confirmed that it will end support for Chime, including its Business Calling features, on February 20, 2026. The company stopped accepting new Chime accounts as of February 19, 2025, and existing customers will still be able to schedule and host meetings, add and manage users, and use features in the Amazon Chime administration console until the shutdown date.
