Mark Zuckerberg’s U-turns continue, this time it’s at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative
In a surprising move, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), co-founded by Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, has announced the termination of its Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) programs. This decision comes just weeks after the organisation assured its staff that it would continue supporting DEI efforts, marking yet another U-turn in Zuckerberg’s recent series of policy shifts.
The announcement was made in an internal email by CZI’s Chief Operating Officer, Marc Malandro, who cited regulatory and legal changes as the primary reasons for dismantling the DEIA team.
