Google clarifies changes they made in Google Calendar, says ‘contrary to some of the…’

Google has clarified the changes to its Google Calendar, a day after it was widely reported that the platform would discontinue automatic listings for cultural observances, requiring users to manually add events like Black History Month and Pride Month starting in 2025.

“We’ve received some questions about the holidays and moments that are displayed in Google Calendar. We want to clarify that we made this change last year, globally,” the company said.
