Next-gen HDMI standard set to debut at CES 2025

The HDMI Forum is poised to unveil its latest connectivity standard at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show, promising enhanced multimedia capabilities for future devices.
Scheduled for announcement on January 6, the forthcoming HDMI 2.2 specification will introduce higher bandwidth, expanded resolutions, and faster refresh rates, potentially revolutionizing audio-visual technology. While specific technical details remain scarce, the new standard is expected to build upon HDMI 2.1b’s existing capabilities, which currently support up to 10K resolution and 120Hz refresh rates.
