Krispy Kreme confirms hacking impacting online orders in US: “..was notified about unauthorised activity”
Krispy Kreme has confirmed facing a cyberattack that has disrupted operations of the popular doughnut chain, including online ordering in the US. The company noted that it was notified about the incident last month and is working with cybersecurity experts to address the issue. While the company says the attack will likely have a “material impact” on its operations, including lost revenue from digital sales, its shops remain open for in-person orders. The shares of Krispy Kreme’s shares have also reduced 2% following the news, news agency Reuters reported.
