Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg gives company’s “last big AI update of the year”

Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg revealed the latest “Llama 3.3” model as the company’s final major artificial intelligence (AI) update for the year 2024. In a video shared on the social media platform Instagram, the company’s CEO, Zuckerberg claimed that this new 70 billion parameter AI model is more efficient compared to the company’s existing 405 billion parameter model. In the video, Zuckerberg also highlighted the growth of Meta AI, with nearly 600 million monthly active users. He even emphasised the success of Llama models, which have over 650 million downloads.
