Facebook-parent Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg has seen his wealth surge by $87.3 billion this year. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, this increase has made him the third-richest person in the world with a net worth of $215 billion. This puts him behind only Elon Musk ($362 billion) and Jeff Bezos ($240 billion). Zuckerberg’s wealth gain this year was second only to Musk’s $133 billion increase. Notably, Zuckerberg’s current net worth surpasses the combined wealth of several prominent billionaires, including Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett, the 9th richest person who’s worth $147.0 billion; CEO of Citadel LLC Ken Griffin, 37th richest person with $42.4 billion value; venture capitalist Peter Thiel, ranked 141st with $15.9 billion; and Mark Cuban, NBA team owner and investor, ranked 365th with $8.1 billion.
