Intel secures $7.86 billion in CHIPS Act: This is what it means for the 56-year old chipmaker

The US Department of Commerce has awarded Intel up to $7.86 billion in direct funding through the CHIPS and Science Act, supporting the company’s ambitious plan to invest more than $100 billion in semiconductor manufacturing across the United States.
