Digital Agriculture Mission

The union cabinet has approved an ambitious initiative known as the Digital Agriculture Mission, aimed at revolutionizing the agricultural sector through the integration of advanced digital technologies. The mission comes with a substantial financial outlay of Rs 2,817 crore, including a central government share of Rs 1,940 crore.

The mission is designed to create robust Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) in the agricultural sector. This infrastructure will integrate data and information on farmlands, crops and yields, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency and productivity of the farm sector. The mission is built on two foundational pillars: AgriStack and the Krishi Decision Support System (DSS).
