Curbs on imports

Government has mandated a licensing regime for import of laptops, tablets, All-in-one Personal Computers, Ultra small form factor Computers and Servers falling under HSN 8471. These items can now be imported only after getting a licence from the Directorate General for Foreign Trade (DGFT).
