Amazon-Future 2019 Deal

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has suspended its 2019 approval for Amazon’s deal to acquire stake in Future Coupons Pvt Ltd and also imposed Rs 202 crore penalty on the US giant for its deliberate design to suppress information about the scope and purpose of the deal. The penalty is to be paid within 60 days of receipt of order.
