4G Auction

DoT’s 4G spectrum auction started on March 1 and ended on March 2, 2021. In this two-day auction, the government sold airwaves worth Rs 77,814 crore, or 37 per cent of the over 2,308 MHz of spectrum that was on sale. The airwaves in 700 MHz and 2500 MHz bands went unsold. Interestingly, the buyers did not pay even one rupee more than the reserve price ie the bid price and the reserve price was exactly the same.
