Delhi Police files FIR against senior SC lawyer Prashant Bhushan over doctored video of Russian minister

Delhi Police has registered an FIR against senior Supreme Court lawyer Prashant Bhushan for allegedly sharing a digitally manipulated video of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that falsely attributed remarks critical of India to him.

The case was registered at the Special Cell police station after cyber patrolling on November 3, when police came across a social media post by the handle @thequotesnews. The post claimed that a purportedly doctored video of Lavrov had been shared from Bhushan’s X handle.
